The Oilport is located at the norther part of Kiel-Canal, within immediate distance to the Brunsbüttel locks (at km 3,55). Various liquid refinery products are being handled. Apart from jetty VIII, all other jetties are owned and operated by Shell Deutschland GmbH, subject to leasehold law.

The port of Ostermoor is located at the Southern part of Kiel-Canal, within immediate distance to the Brunsbüttel locks (at the southern part of Kiel-Canal at km 5.65). The port was erected in 1975 as supply and disposal facility for the nearby industry (Bayer AG Werk Brunsbüttel / TOTAL Bitumen Deutschland GmbH / Yara Brunsbüttel GmbH).
The handling facilities for ammonia, urea, crude oil and various liquid chemicals are factory-owned and located on port areas which are leased from Brunsbüttel Ports GmbH.
